Schuyler and Jahan
Welcome
We are so excited to celebrate our marriage in beautiful Spain, surrounded by the people we love most. To honor both of our cultures, we’ll have two ceremonies — a Sikh ceremony on May 26th and a traditional white dress ceremony on May 27th.
We’re looking forward to sunshine-filled days, sipping sangria and cava, and spending time with our favorite people in such an incredible place. We can’t wait to share this unforgettable experience with you!

We're so excited to celebrate with you in Sitges, Spain, a charming coastal town known for its stunning beaches, lively culture, and incredible food.
Sitges is often called the "Jewel of the Mediterranean" and is just a 40-minute drive or train ride from Barcelona, making it the perfect getaway with easy access to the city's sights.
The closest airport to Sitges is Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN). We recommend arriving by Sunday, May 24, 2026, to give yourself time to adjust to the time change before the wedding festivities begin.
Traveling from Barcelona to Sitges is easy and offers multiple options.
Train: If you're up for a scenic and affordable option, take the R2 Nord (R2N) train from Barcelona Airport to El Prat de Llobregat Station. From there, transfer to the R2 Sud (R2S) train towards Sitges. The total Journey takes about 45 minutes and trains run frequently. There are no direct trains from the airport to Sitges, so you'll have to change trains at a stop. Info on exact steps and how to purchase tickets can be found here.
Taxi/Uber: A taxi or Uber from BCN costs around 60-80 Euros and takes 30 minutes. Taxis and Ubers are readily available in Sitges and Barcelona.
Car Rental: Renting a car isn't necessary unless you plan to explore beyond Sitges and Barcelona. It is best to rent a car from the airpot, but you can also rent one in Sitges (Noguecar).
BEACHES
Sitges beaches offer a view of the promenade, period houses on the west side, and the Garraf mountains in the background. All Sitges beaches have a uniqueness in that they are separated by long jetties formed with giant stones, making them distinct from each other.
Platja de Balmins- A mix of textile and relaxed atmosphere (also known to be a nudist beach - heads up).
Platja de Sant Sebastia- A quieter, family-friendly beach with scenic views.
Platja de la Fragata- Central and lively, great for people-watching.
SITGES OLD TOWN
Don't miss Fonollar Street, Davallada Street, the old market, and City Hall. Charming streets lined with white washed buildings, boutiques, and tapas bars. More info here!

The Milni ceremony is a traditional pre-wedding ritual in Sikh and Indian weddings where the bride’s family formally welcomes the groom’s family. It symbolizes the unification of the two families and includes the exchange of garlands and blessings. Taking place before the main wedding ceremony, Milni sets a tone of harmony, respect, and togetherness for the celebration ahead.
The Anand Karaj, the Sikh marriage ceremony, revolves around the four lavan—hymns composed by Guru Ram Das—that are recited as the couple circles the Guru Granth Sahib. Each lavan marks a stage in the couple’s spiritual and marital journey, ultimately leading to union with the Divine.
Immediately following the Anand Karaj, guests will be invited to join us for langar, a traditional communal meal, which will be served at the Gurdwara.
For the Indian ceremony, we encourage festive traditional attire. Ladies may consider wearing a saree or lehenga choli, and men may consider a kurta pajama. If you’re looking for inspiration, please feel free to explore our Pinterest board and visit the recommended websites linked below for ideas and shopping resources.
In honor of tradition during the Indian ceremony, red is reserved for the bride and groom. We respectfully ask guests to choose other colors when selecting their attire.
If you prefer a more Western-style outfit, feel free to wear one. Vibrant colors are highly encouraged; Please avoid black or white, as they are associated with mourning in Indian culture.
Important: In a Gurdwara (a Sikh temple), covering your hair is a sign of respect and humility. Both men and women are required to cover their heads while inside. Men typically use a handkerchief, scarf, or turban, while women wear a scarf, dupatta, or shawl. You will also be required to remove your shoes when entering the Gurdwara.

Sitges is an extremely walkable town, and everything is conveniently close by—beaches, restaurants, shops, and our venue. Below are a few hotel recommendations we’ve selected, with a mix of price ranges to suit different budgets. Please note that we do not have room blocks or special rates at any of these hotels.
Our personal favorite is Hotel Sitges Playa, but feel free to stay wherever you'd like—there are plenty of great options throughout town!
Hotel Playa Golf & Spa Sitges (Where the Indian reception will be held; May availability has not yet been released—please check back closer to the wedding)
We are beyond grateful that you are making the journey to celebrate with us in Spain—your presence means the world to us, and that is truly the best gift we could ask for! We know that traveling is no small feat, and we feel so lucky to have you there.
If you still wish to give something, a contribution to our honeymoon fund would be greatly appreciated, although not expected! Your company and warm wishes are more than enough.
